Luke 1:37 states that “with God nothing will be impossible.” To experience the impossible becoming possible we must have trusting faith that Abraham possessed.
The greatest impossible possibility of God is the miracle of regeneration of the human spirit as a result of Christ’s baptism, death and resurrection.
The moment we place our faith in the covenant of God, the Holy Spirit impregnates our dead human spirits with the eternal life of God and we are reborn spiritually.
Regeneration takes place in the human spirit because that is the part of us that needs new life. The keys to unlock the impossible to become possible is to have trusting faith in the covenant God has made with His people:
1. Covenant of Promise
To experience the impossible becoming possible we must believe in the promise of God. The promise of God is a revelation of God’s will and purpose to give new life to those who believe in the righteous finished work of Christ. Salvation is granted to us by grace through faith apart from works. Only our obedience by faith in God’s promises would render salvation to our souls. Accepting God’s covenant of promise by faith would enable us to experience God’s love, forgiveness, righteousness, acceptance, mercy, redemption – wrapped up in one package called salvation. Eph 2:8; Isa 55:11; Num 23:19; Rom 4:17-25
2. Covenant of Prayer
To experience the impossible becoming possible, we must have an effectual and fervent prayer which avails much. To experience the impossible we must pray fervently and persistently. God has covenanted to hear our prayers when we ask anything according to His will. Prayer is simply our response to God’s ability to turn the impossible to possible. Prayer opens the door for God to demonstrate His supernatural powers in our times of need. James 5:16-18; Luke 18:1-8; 1 John 5: 14-15
3. Covenant of Praise
To experience the impossible becoming possible we must praise and worship God even in impossible situations. Paul and Silas praised God in the midst of an impossible situation. God responded to their praises and delivered them according to His covenant. Praise turns our adversities to opportunities for God to demonstrate His supernatural abilities. Praise God at all times to experience His presence. Acts 16:25-26; Psalms 149:4-6
4. Covenant of Proclamation
To experience the impossible becoming possible we must boldly proclaim the words of faith in the Scriptures upon our life. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. We must speak words that bring life and hope. We must avoid words of unbelief, fear and hopelessness. When we are born again, we bring with us the accumulation of our own attitudes, behavior, outlook, complexes and experiences. All these are combined to make us the person we are. However, the Bible tells us that we are a new creation in Christ. Now, only by proclaiming what God is saying about us in the Word has the power to transform us according to His perfect will. 2 Cor 5:17; Psalms 18:21; Num 7:29; James 3:2-5
5. Covenant of Hope
To experience the impossible becoming possible we must have patience to hope until the time of fulfillment of the promise. God has a time for every blessing. We must not lose hope but wait patiently to inherit the promises of God. God would not shame or disappoint us when we put our total hope in Him. We must believe even before experiencing the fulfillment since faith is the substance of the things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. We please God when we put our hope and confidence in Him by faith. Heb 10:35-36
Friends, let us experience the impossible possibility at NCCkl by our trusting faith in the covenant that God has made with us.
