Alive And Well

The world is groaning with its problems. Hearts are crying with their needs. How can anyone bear to live today without Christ? Life is so unpredictable. It saddens to know that almost 300 people lost their lives in the recent air tragedy that has gripped our nation once again.
For us who know Him through the Gospel of the water and Spirit, does our very being ache for those who do not? If we know Him, are we living on a note of triumph?
Each morning as we awaken to the new day which God has given to us, we need to put on our armor and take our seat with Christ. We need to remind ourselves that we have victory over the world, the flesh and the Devil through the baptism, death and resurrection of Christ on our behalf. Personally, I reaffirm my life commitment to Jesus and authorize the Holy Spirit to control me moment by moment.
As the day progresses and the world begins to press in, if I blow it spiritually I talk it over with my understanding Heavenly Father, admitting freely what I have done. He then reassures me of His love and acceptance of me. If I have harmed someone else, I seek to set it right with them.
One of the greatest blessings I have continually experienced is to allow Jesus to carry my burden of self-condemnation and guilt. This truth alone has done more to free me from Satan’s grasp than any other concept God has taught me.
What a time for us to be alive! We can see the rulers, the powers, the world forces of darkness engulfing planet Earth, but we can have Christ authority, Christ power to bring about victory. Tell it to the world!
May God use the liberating truth from His pulpit at NCCkl to bring us freedom in our lives and hope for the future. Remember our victory cry which Jesus shouted from the cross – “It is Finished!” Tetelestai.
